Live Oak Elementary (LOE) recently hosted its annual Fun Run, the school’s largest PTA fundraiser of the year, bringing together students, families, staff, and community members for a day full of energy, encouragement, and school spirit.
The Fun Run gives students the opportunity to gather sponsors and donations for every lap they complete, while also earning individual and class prizes for their participation and effort. Funds raised through the event directly support additional field trips, school assemblies, and special student activities throughout the school year, helping create memorable educational experiences for all students.
This year’s event saw an incredible turnout, with parents and community members lining the course to cheer on runners and celebrate the students’ enthusiasm and determination. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students gave it their all while classmates, teachers, and families encouraged them every step of the way.
FUESD Superintendent Monika Hazel also stopped by to support the event and cheer on the runners, highlighting the strong sense of community and partnership that continues to make events like the LOE Fun Run such a success.

Live Oak Elementary (LOE) celebró recientemente su carrera anual Fun Run, el evento de recaudación de fondos más importante del año organizado por el PTA, reuniendo a estudiantes, familias, personal escolar y miembros de la comunidad en un día lleno de energía, apoyo y espíritu escolar.
La Fun Run les brinda a los estudiantes la oportunidad de conseguir patrocinadores y donaciones por cada vuelta que corren, además de ganar premios individuales y grupales por su participación y esfuerzo. Los fondos recaudados ayudan a financiar excursiones, asambleas escolares y actividades especiales durante el año escolar, creando experiencias educativas memorables para todos los estudiantes.
Este año, el evento contó con una increíble participación y apoyo de padres de familia y miembros de la comunidad, quienes se reunieron para animar a los corredores y celebrar el entusiasmo y la dedicación de los estudiantes. El ambiente estuvo lleno de emoción mientras los estudiantes daban lo mejor de sí en cada vuelta.
La Superintendente de FUESD, Monika Hazel, también asistió al evento para apoyar y animar a los corredores, resaltando el fuerte sentido de comunidad y colaboración que hace de la Fun Run de LOE un gran éxito cada año.
