Live Oak Elementary is celebrating the completion of a beautiful new native butterfly garden, created through the support of the MGASDC grant program and the dedication of local volunteers, organizations, and businesses.
Located next to the school’s vegetable and herb garden, the new space features native plants, winding stepping stones, and an inviting arbor entrance. Thanks to the collaboration of Master Gardeners, the Fallbrook Ranch Lions Club, Live Oak staff, and community partners, the garden will serve as a living classroom where students can explore science, ecology, and pollination firsthand.
This new garden not only creates a welcoming space for butterflies and pollinators but also inspires students to develop a deeper appreciation for nature and environmental stewardship.

La escuela Live Oak Elementary celebra la finalización de un hermoso jardín de mariposas con plantas nativas, posible gracias al apoyo del programa de subvenciones MGASDC y al esfuerzo conjunto de voluntarios, organizaciones y negocios de la comunidad.
Ubicado junto al jardín escolar de verduras y hierbas, este nuevo espacio cuenta con plantas nativas, senderos de piedra y una entrada con un arco decorativo. Gracias a la colaboración de Master Gardeners, el Fallbrook Ranch Lions Club, el personal de Live Oak y socios comunitarios, el jardín servirá como un aula viva donde los estudiantes podrán aprender de forma práctica sobre ciencia, ecología y polinización.
Este nuevo jardín no solo crea un espacio acogedor para las mariposas y otros polinizadores, sino que también inspira a los estudiantes a desarrollar un mayor aprecio por la naturaleza y el cuidado del medio ambiente.
